A letter of encouragement from Toyota’s founder given during the war
The company devoted itself to selling mainly petroleum products, and in 1914 it became an authorized dealer for Mitsui & Co. Oil (now General Oil) and Kokura Oil (later merged with Nippon Oil), and in 1918, after the establishment of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, began importing oil and fat products. It continued to supply petroleum products to Toyoda-affiliated companies from the time of its founding.
